Pat Elder’s 20 city California March 2020 Tour will call attention to the drinking water and public health crisis caused by the military’s reckless use of PFAS “forever chemicals.”

The military is contaminating water, soil, and air on bases and in surrounding communities in California, across the US and worldwide. For 50 years PFAS, a family of "forever chemicals,” have been used in firefighting foam for routine training exercises on bases. The military and the EPA knew this foam caused cancers and adverse developmental effects in the unborn and young child, chronic and deadly diseases and did nothing. Now, PFAS is in the blood of 99% of the population, umbilical cord blood and breast milk. This California March 2020 Tour to 20 cities will mobilize the public to demand protection of water sources and safe drinking water, accountability by the military, and cleanup of sites. Read the tour schedule HERE and description of two forums, one in San Francisco on March 22, World Water Day.
