We gather as a faith community to remember the last meal that Jesus had with his disciples and consider our own relationship with Christ. We share in a time of reflection, a simple meal, and a service of foot washing before we close with the bread and the cup. In the service we remember Jesus’ willingness to get up from the meal, take off his outer clothing, pour water into a basin and wash the feet of his disciples drying them with a towel. This is a service shared with his disciples demonstrating the need to be a servant to one another.
